Do you have more items that aren’t on this website?
Yes! KTD has an enormous inventory and we welcome any questions about what we have in stock. Some items shown on this website may also be available in different metals or with different gemstones. Can I have my purchase engraved?
Many but not all jewelry items can be engraved. Because KTD does most engraving work by hand, engraving typically costs a small additional fee. Please email contact@ktdjewelers.com or call toll-free (855) 583-5833 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday, to discuss your engraving request in further detail.
Why do you charge for shipping?
Because KTD buys materials direct from suppliers, our prices are much lower than most jewelry retailers’. It’s part of what’s made us so popular for nearly 40 years. We don’t charge the high margins on our products that other retailers use to offset the cost of free shipping, which means our only option is to charge for shipping and insurance. But rest assured that every item is shipped fully insured and requiring a signature, so it arrives safe and intact -- exactly the way you ordered it.
Can I opt to have my purchase shipped without insurance?
Unfortunately no. In order to guarantee that your jewelry arrives safely and without any damage, we have no choice but to insure every package we ship.
When will my order ship?
KTD is open Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, and most orders of in-stock merchandise will ship within 1-3 business days. You will receive an email from a KTD associate when your order has shipped. What is your return policy?
KTD wants you to be happy with your purchase. Any regular-stock merchandise may be returned or exchanged within fourteen (14) days from the date the customer picks up the merchandise or the merchandise is delivered to the customer. Merchandise must be unworn, in the same condition as when it was purchased, and in its complete original packaging with the security tag attached and undamaged. Layaways, Special Orders, Custom-Made Pieces and Final Sale Items are not returnable or refundable. KTD reserves the right to reject a returned item and/or deny a refund request if these conditions are not met.

If you wish to return or exchange merchandise that meets these conditions, please obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number and additional instructions by emailing contact@ktdjewelers.com or by calling toll-free (855) 583-5833 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday. Refunds will be issued as KTD store credit only. Shipping and insurance charges are not refundable.

Can my jewelry be repaired?
KTD would be happy to take a look at your jewelry to determine what kind of repair work it needs. Unfortunately it is impossible to accurately ascertain repair work over the phone or via email (even with pictures), so you would need to arrange for the piece to be brought or sent to our showroom. Please email contact@ktdjewelers.com or call toll-free (855) 583-5833 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday, to discuss the item that needs to be repaired and to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number and further instructions. Can my jewelry be resized?
Many but not all jewelry pieces can be resized. KTD would be happy to determine if your item can be resized.

I received my order and the item isn't the same color as in the pictures.
KTD has made every effort possible to ensure merchandise colors are displayed as accurately as possible. KTD cannot guarantee your monitor or mobile device will accurately display the true colors of an item.
How many carats? What kind of earring backing? I want to know more!

Are your gemstones responsibly sourced?
KTD takes great care to work exclusively with gem vendors and gem providers who guarantee the responsible sourcing of their materials. KTD will never knowingly sell a piece that contains diamonds or gemstones from conflict zones or that were obtained illegally.
Do you guarantee your work? Does my purchase come with a warranty?
KTD guarantees the quality of its work and of the materials it uses. If your purchase requires repair work because of a manufacturing defect, we will gladly repair or replace it, depending on the nature of the work needed. Damage resulting from misuse or from wear and tear is not covered by this guarantee. Please see our information on caring for your piece in order to prevent damage from everyday use.
How should I care for my KTD jewelry?
With a little care and attention, you can keep your KTD jewelry in lovely condition for generations to come. To prevent damage, always remove your jewelry when doing household tasks, when applying makeup, when swimming, bathing, or visiting a spa, or when exercising or playing sports. For most jewelry, wiping it with a jewelry cloth or cleaning it with warm (not hot) water and a very mild soap or a little bit of rubbing alcohol will do the job. Never clean jewelry with bleach or harsh chemicals or detergents. Dry it gently with a jewelry cloth. Always plug your drain in case any of the piece’s gems come loose during cleaning. Inspect your jewelry regularly and bring it to KTD or another reputable jeweler once a year for a professional cleaning and inspection. Absolutely! We are located in the San Francisco Jewelry Center, at 101 Utah Street, Showroom 133, San Francisco, CA 94103. We’re open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST.
